What are eyelash extensions?Eyelash extensions are semi-permanent, 100% synthetic and curved to replicate a natural eyelash. Our lashes are thicker at the base and taper to a fine point. They are applied to individual eyelashes, one extension at a time, for a natural, elegant look to lengthen and add fullness to the existing lashes. Lash extensions can only be applied to the amount of natural lashes you have.
-
What do they look like and how do they feel?Eyelash extensions look and feel completely real- they move with your natural lashes. Each application is customized to suit each individual. Various individual lash lengths are chosen to carefully replicate the shape and frame of a natural lash line. The thickness is determined by the health and thickness of your natural lashes. The overall effect is added curl, thickness and length, opening up the eye for added definition. They give the look of mascara, without having to wear any!

What do I do before my appointment? For long lasting lashes, you should properly prepare for your lash application To maximize your appointment time, come to your appointment with no eye makeup on. Any makeup removal that needs to happen will take away from your appointment time and the lashes may not end up as full as expected. Contact lenses can be removed or worn during the appointment, your eyes will be closed for the service. If you wear glasses, please bring them with you to your appointment. Please come alone, this is a relaxing time for you, where you will lay with your eyes closed. This includes children, friends and husbands. Also. no caffeine the day of your appointment. Coffee or any caffeinated beverage is a stimulant and can make your eyes twitchy, which can make it hard for me to lash properly. No gum or mints, as the chewing can make lash placement difficult and mints post a choking hazard.

How long does the procedure take?Depending on the number of lashes being applied, it generally takes between 120 and 150 minutes to complete the full set. Fills every 2-3 weeks can take 45-90 minutes depending on how many new lash extensions need to be applied and the fullness that is desired.
-
How long do extensions last? With proper care and maintenance, touch-ups are needed once every 2 to 3 weeks to replace and maintain the look we created for you. Natural eyelashes grow in and fall out in cycles (every 6 weeks). When a natural lash matures and falls out, a new lash has already been growing and quickly replaces it without us noticing the turnover. This process is constant and at any given moment our many natural lashes are at different stages of maturity. Some are just growing in, while others are ready to shed. People typically shed between 1 and 5 natural lashes each day, depending on their individual growth cycles. On shorter, natural lashes, this growing and shedding cycle is virtually unnoticeable.

What do I do after my appointment?Do not get wet for 24 hours. The glue needs to fully cure. No showering, swimming, sweating or exercising. Do not brush them when wet. Let them dry after your shower and then brush them out. Cleanse daily with lash cleanser (after first 24 hour period). Do not wear mascara over the extensions. Mascara adds extra weight to your natural lashes, which in turn can cause them to fall out or break. This leads to less natural lashes, meaning less places to put extensions. This includes regular and waterproof mascara. Opening your oven and getting your face close can singe the tips of your lashes! Be mindful. Brush lashes daily to keep them fluffy. Any “hot” activities (ie hot yoga, spinning, sauna) can cause your lashes to come out sooner and not last as long as they could normally.

How long should the hair be?1/4 long or 3 weeks worth of hair growth from your last shave if it’s your first time waxing.
-
What should I do to prepare for my wax?Gently exfoliate the area two days before your service. Take an Ibuprofen 30 mins before. Wear loose clothing and cotton underwear to your appointment.
-
What are the after care instructions? For the first 24-48 hours, avoid any activity that will cause you to sweat excessively (working out, sauna, hot baths, intimacy, tanning beds, direct sun exposure, etc.) Do not apply deodorant for the remainder of the day for underarm services or make-up on the face for facial services. Keep the area clean and moisturized. Begin exfoliating the area 48-72 hrs after your wax 2-3x a week.

-
How often should I wax?Facial services/Underarms- every 2 to 3 weeks Bikini area/Body- every 4 to 6 weeks (Everyone is different. During your initial visit, I will recommend when to schedule your next visit.)

How long will my wax last? Results vary from person to person and there are many factors on the results. Even though it can take up to 3-4 sessions for a completely smooth wax, regrowth can occur within 1-2 weeks the first 3-4 months. The more you wax and maintain a great skin care regimen, the longer your results will last.
